When initiating a return for a Malouf mattress or adjustable bed frame, there are a few important guidelines to keep in mind. First, all requests must be submitted within 100 days of delivery. But, before initiating a return, we ask that you sleep on it for at least 30 days so you can adjust to the new mattress or frame. If, after this period, you are still not satisfied with your purchase, you may initiate a return here.

Zero clearance means that your adjustable base will rest flat on the existing bed frame without the legs attached to it. If you are using an upholstered bed frame that has drawers, you'll need a zero-clearance base, so the legs don't sit inside the drawers. All Malouf adjustable bed bases can function in zero clearance mode.

All Malouf adjustable bases come with retainer bars that sit at the foot of the mattress to ensure it stays in place. As you elevate and adjust your base, your mattress will flex and move based on the position you are selecting but will not move off your bed.

Yes. All Malouf mattresses are compressed and rolled in a box, making them easy to transport to your bedroom upon delivery. Setup is easy—all you need to do is open your mattress and let it decompress for 24 hours before sleeping on it.

Setup is easy and can be done in less than 15 minutes per base. We recommend having two people when setting up your base so it can easily be flipped right side up.

Yes. We recommend using a mattress protector to protect your investment from spills, stains, and dust mites. If you purchase a Malouf mattress, the warranty on your mattress will be voided if you do not use a mattress protector.

You should get the same headboard size as the bed frame you want to use it with. If you're buying a bed frame with the headboard, you should get a bed that matches your preference and if you sleep with a partner. Queen and King sizes are the most popular for those with two people in a bed.

Yes. All Malouf upholstered bed frames are compatible with an adjustable bed base, for the customization you need for better sleep and style you love. Simply place your adjustable bed base inside your upholstered bed frame without the slats, or for frames with drawers, remove the legs from your adjustable and set it directly on top of the slats.

No, you do not need a box spring. You can place your mattress directly on the wooden slats, or if you are using an adjustable bed base with your upholstered bed, you can place your mattress directly on the adjustable.

All our sheet sets include a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and a pillowcase set. You will receive one or two pillowcases depending what size you are selecting—Twin and Twin XL sets come with one, while all other sizes include two.

We recommend washing your sheets (according to care instructions) weekly to keep your sleep environment clean and fresh. Many customers have two sets of sheets so they can switch on wash days.

Yes. We recommend using a mattress protector to protect your investment from spills, stains, and dust mites. If you purchase a Malouf mattress, the warranty on your mattress will be voided if you do not use a mattress protector.

We recommend using a pillow protector to protect your pillow from sweat, stains, spills, and allergens.

Some fabrics can retain heat, but all Malouf protectors are made with breathable fabrics, so it provides the protection you need without compromising comfort.

Yes! We recommend washing your protector once or twice a month, or on an as-needed basis. Follow care instructions to optimize the care for your protector. Note we recommend washing your sheets more often (once per week) to ensure your sleep environment stays fresh and clean.

A Split King mattress protector purchase will come with two Twin XL protectors, one for each mattress of your Split King sleep setup.

This warranty covers any defects in the materials or workmanship, with the exceptions of excessive wear and tear, stains, misuse or improper maintenance, alteration or repair by unauthorized representatives, and damage resulting from transit or handling. The warranty also covers any mattress purchased on the same receipt as the protector, as long as the protector is found to be defective. The best pillow for your sleep position is one that properly aligns your spine. Typically, side sleepers benefit from firmer pillows, stomach sleepers from softer pillows, back sleepers from medium-firm pillows, and universal sleepers from soft, versatile pillows. Pillow loft refers to pillow thickness. Loft plays a vital role in aligning your neck and spine. Low loft pillows are typically around 4 inches or less, mid-loft is 5-6 inches, and a high loft is anything higher than 6 inches. Generally speaking, stomach sleepers benefit from a lower loft, side sleepers benefit from mid-high, and back sleepers can benefit from any of the three.
